roberta's in bushwick, brooklyn is what i have determined is truly an earthbound shangri-la...a not so tiny slice of heaven built for everyone to savor.
last night we went out with our pals karen and joe, at their longstanding behest, to finally check out what was
seriously, some of the best food i've
ever had in nyc + magnificent beers served in mason jars (i had the mason's black and the brownstone). the outdoor garden and fire pit is insanely eclectic/casual perfection and very well-designed. the only place i've ever been in nyc where i felt back home in kentucky/on another planet at once. there are even big army tents to go into if you get chilled.
i'm in love. swoon. roberta's...you will see me at least once a week. live long and prosper (and it seems you are due the entirely worth-it 1 hour wait...just enough time to pop into king's county for a drink). it was too dark for me to get good pics, but i'll do a follow up brunch post soon.
